Fiona Harrison - Brakewoman
| 2009/10 will be Fiona’s first season in bobsleigh after coming from a successful athletics background. Her previous fifteen years experience in athletics has been marked by many occasions in which she has represented Great Britain in numerous track and field disciplines including heptathlon and pole vault. In 2003 Fiona came 6th in the European Under 23 championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland and in 2004 she broke the 6000 point mark in the heptathlon in Cartagena, Spain which put her 9th on the U.K. all-time rankings. | ![]() |
In the last three years Fiona picked up a pole again and in 2007 she came second in the National championships and Aviva World Trials for pole vault in Manchester. She once held the British record at Under 15 and Under 17 for this discipline.
Fiona’s training has been geared around bobsleigh for the last few months and in August 2009, she showed great promise when training on ice at the Team Minichiello push camp in Cesana, Italy. Fiona is very excited about the upcoming season and cannot wait to put her speed and power into the sled when in competition throughout the winter.
