Her previous fifteen years experience in athletics has been marked by many occasions in which she has represented Great Britain in numerous track and field disciplines including heptathlon and pole vault. In 2003 Fiona came 6th in the European Under 23 championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland and in 2004 she broke the 6000 point mark in the heptathlon in Cartagena, Spain which put her 9th on the U.K. all-time rankings. |
Information from the FIBT
The small mountain village above Innsbruck was twice host of the Olympic Winter Games (1964 and 1976). One of the first refrigerated track in the world, Igls has twice hosted the FIBT World Championship (1963 and 1993). The FIBT Bob and Skeleton School for new pilots is held there annually.
