World Cup Race 7 – Whistler, Canada
Team Minichiello/CookeTeam Minichiello continued their 2008/09 World Cup campaign with a 9th place finish at the 2010 Olympic track in Whistler, Canada.
After the first run the girls were in 11th position after an error out of corner four caused a loss of speed at the top of the track. The start on the first heat was the 5th fastest of the run, four hundredths from the best start.
On the second run GB1, having a much improved heat, the seventh best of the second heat, moved up two places to ninth but could not catch the leaders. The second start was the sixth best of the run, one tenth from the best start.
The team maintain their fifth position in the World Cup rankings, and a good result in the final race of the World Cup series in Park City, USA could see Team Minichiello claim 3rd place overall.
